Hi Bobby,
I am sorry, I got the letters/words out of order for PTSD - its Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I had just come in from burying my cat - guess I should have had a glass wine and bath and left e-mail for later. Here are a couple of links for it http://www.trauma-pages.com/index.phtml and
http://members.tripod.co.uk/victim/ptsd/ .
As far as depression goes - do remember that it can also be caused by level of seratonin flucuating in your brain and may require medication to level it back out. The best ways to deal with depression are of of course all the things the person doesn't feel like doing - exercising, eating, getting out, and seeing friends. When the blues hit - its even more important to take of yourself - eat right, get enough sleep, exercise etc. Try to focus on positive things - rather than find what you can't do - find what can. Volunteer to help folks who need help - many times seeing our lives aren't so bad helps ( I whined about having no shoes - till I met a man with no feet), talk to your friends - vent - fury, anger and sorrow fester if they are not released. On a non-medicine level - St John's Wort - an herb is a mood enhancer - becareful if you are a sunbunny - it makes the skin photosenistive. Enough from Mama Trisha!!
Brightest Blessings
Trisha
