To Cuyler Page et al:
As moderator I will be drawing on the other participants for examples
and perspective on the topic. I have project examples of my own
(Ellis, GCT, Grover Cleveland Birthplace, Wright's Freeman House in
Hollywood, etc.) plus notes on prior symposiums and writings,
definitions of authenticity, and some of my personal views toward
authenticity as not being an absolute, but speaking in many shades
and colors.
I know Erich will talk about the temples in Nepal, and Gunny about
19th century office buildings, and I will record everyone. But until
I hear what Arch. Record or APT is interested in, and not having
anything yet in writing from the other presenters, I don't know what
form the written proceedings will take. It's not a paper presenting
event, but a roundtable discussion, as parlor-style as I can make of
a big bare room with cork walls.
Otherwise...sharing is good! I like sharing.
