I've been coming and going a bit over the past couple of months ... and
today saw me leave B-P for a few minutes, just to try and sort out the
problems I've been having with my email.

In so doing, I received the following message (amongst others):

"I'm sorry to see that you're leaving Bullamanka-Pinheads. If there is
anything you believe Bullamanka-Pinheads should have offered but didn't, or
there are any other suggestions you may have for the list, please feel free
to write directly to me.

I thought maybe Gabriel should have been reading the emails over the past
couple of months ... there sure have been some useful suggestions for the
list in there!

As I write this, I'm listening to a radio interview with Philip Glass
following the launch of his latest music-theatre piece "Monsters of Grace"
... and he was talking about the demands of modern communication with the
need for interaction between images, text and sound.  How will this help us?
No idea.

But then, 10 years ago, could you have ever imagined using B-P in the way
that you currently do?

What are going to be the challenges for conserving the records from B-P?  Or
do we really not need to bother?

PS  What was the purpose of this message ... apart from testing my
connection to B-P, I was following the instructions to introduce myself to
the rest of the list!
