We can only hope that this shocking inattention to your monitoring of field
conditions was an anomaly. I took Marcus Whiffen's 2nd book (a History of
American Architecture 1607-1976) on my honeymoon (to the lovely state of
Wisconsin), and never managed to read much of it. Nor have I since, but not
for the same reason.
And what did the rest of you not do on your honeymoons, so that Derek will
be
prepared?
