The replies I have received in regard to restoring desktop size have been
very interesting. What I have learned -
Programs as clmode.exe, mentioned on this list and referenced on several
websites, but which I have never found, allow changing refresh rate in
Windows 95, and may not be useful in Windows 98. (I have Windows 98.)
Changing refresh rate may change desktop size, or it may not. (Didn't
work for me.)
May not able to change refresh rate in Display Properties. May have to
change BIOS. Still may not change desktop size.
StretchWallpaper registry change program, mentioned several times on this
list, didn't work for me.
I may have success changing video card or driver. If this is true, what
would be the criterion that would make another card or driver work, when
the present ones don't?
