Michael,
I appreciate your offer to help, but the article you refer to in the
Knowledge Base doesn't describe the problem I'm having.
Peter,
I'm also glad to hear that it's not a problem with my system. Have you tried
to contact ZoneAlarm technical support?
Thanks again,
David Landau

I can sympathize with you since I have a similar situation. Since installing
the latest ZoneAlarm, my dialup RAS connection is messed up. After I
disconnect, I can neither connect again, nor can I log off or shut down - it
locks up. If I turn ZoneAlarm off, then I have no trouble. Thank you for
your post. It showed me that it is not my system that is corrupted - I was
thinking of re-installing Win2k!
Sorry, I don't have a solution, but my experience corraborates your finding
that ZoneAlarm has problems under Win2k.

I installed ZoneAlarm version 2.1.44 (the latest version) on my Win 2K
machine. The installation went okay, as did the setup. I connect to the
Internet on a DSL line with a VPN connection using an Intel Pro/100+ Mini
PCI NIC. Up until that point the connection had been working well. When I
attempted to disconnect my DSL connection, an error message popped up:
"Error Disconnecting. It's not possible to disconnect at this time. This
connection may be using one or more protocols that do not support Plug
and-Play, or it may have been initiated by another user or the system
account." And the system froze. I went into Task Manager and closed the DSL
connection through that. But then when I tried to shut down the system it
froze again. I powered down, restarted, and disabled ZoneAlarm. I emailed
ZoneAlarm support almost 2 weeks ago, but no response yet. Anyone have
insight as to what the problem could be and how to solve it?
Thanks,
David Landau
