The drivers are correctly installed, I did a clean installation hoping to
solve the problems and nope! My monitor's manual says it can run at 75Hz (as
always did) but not even the newest drivers allows me to run at that refresh
rate (but I know the card can do it, as always did).

Check that the computer is recognizing SiS driver, and not S3 driver.
Control Panel, Display, Settings.
