Yes, I have heard that especially the 2940 adaptec was picky about bus
speed.  I will remove the 2930 and see if that helps.  The SOYO board also
uses the LX chipset, which one vendor(AZZO) says can't handle higher than 66
bus speeds - which I doubt, since the board includes 68, 75 and 83, and is
now running great at 68.  Unfortunately I can't change the cpu core voltage
with this board, but the chip has run well on a BH6 at 100 bus at 2.0 vcore,
so I don't think its the cpu.   Thanks for the info on the Diamond cards -
are these PCI or AGP?  (I do have an agp slot on this board.)   Thanks, Edna
