I have just received three computers as a gift from a client for replacing
their motherboard. As a novice at computer repair it was my first major job
so I am thrilled at the gift. What I need now from those of you experienced
in the field are suggestions: How can I best evaluate and learn from these
machines? They are pentium II Pionex and Acer systems with monitors and
keyboards. Any ideas on evaluating the hardware, running any diagnostic
programs, upgrading or removing old programs. I plan on keeping one, the
Acer. Looking forward to your ideas.
