PCBUILD Digest - 29 Nov 1999 to 30 Nov 1999 (#1999-331)Hi,

I've got Epson Stylus Color 300. I ran out of ink and couldn't find new one.
The supplier said it would take a month or so before he could get me one.
So I had no option but to try with a refill until new catridge arrived.
Refill also not so lucky, the only option I had was the refill which said
was for Cannon printers. Anyway I tried refilling the black tank (didn't
touch other 3 color tanks). It printed 10 pages or so (poor) and stopped
printing (no inks on paper). Apparently the head clogged. Now I got the
original brand new Epson color catridge. Other colors print fine but black
doesn't. Printing the test page doesn't print anything - head is printing
but comes out blank paper. Tried 'head cleaning' utility of the printer
several times but black will still not print. I desperately need advice how
to 'unclog' the head. I don't want to throw the printer. Any advice ?

TIA

Bharat
