First, thank you all for the many responses. There were many
interesting suggestions, but none came close to the dried fruit fruitcake
recipe from 20 years ago that I am trying to duplicate. So, I've decided
that I will do some experimenting during this holiday season and see if I
can come up with something that works.
My concern is about the dried fruits (apple/peaches/apricots/etc)
that I plan to use. I think I remember reading that some companies dust
their dried fruit with flour to keep it from sticking together. If this is
true, which brands can we count on as being GF ?
BTW: I promise I will post the recipe that I finally come up with.
