I will be travelling to Europe for my first time in about 7 weeks.
I have heard that European cuisine is easier for celiacs, but I have an
added complication in that I cannot tolerate any amout on dairy. While I
have heard wonderful things about European food, I have this perception
that EVERYTHING has butter and cheese in it.
If anyone could give me advice on this, or recommend books/websites,
or what foods would be safe there, I would really appreciate it. I am
really not sure what to expect there. I am wondering if it will even
possible to eat in a restaurant while I am there, or will I not be able
to have anything besides fruit and sausages.
I know there have been postings regarding gluten avoidance in
Europe, but I haven't found any info regarding gluten and dairy
avoidance in Europe.
I will be travelling to France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy
and will be staying for 12 days.
Thank you in advance,
Michelle Van Kleeck
