Nokia has just announced the release of the Nokia THR880,
a combination mobile phone and Tetra enabled radio designed for use by
the emergency services sector.
Amongst the features of this unit is voice feedback, allowing its user
to keep their eyes on the task at hand while operating the device.
The device is two sided, one side consisting of a phone and the other
the radio.
it sports a color screen, and data capability.
While this device doesn't appear to be aimed at the consumer mass
market,
it shows that steps are being taken to integrate voice feedback into
mobile devices.
Now would be the time to lobby Nokia for a consumer device with the
same feedback option.
Anyone got any contacts?
