By recover the bios do you mean reset to default settings?
if it's corrupted you may have to replace the cmos chip
If it's replaceable on a laptop?
you could try to reset the bios and see if that works
I found a debug script that worked fine for me.
Again use at your own risk:
A:\>DEBUG
- o 70 2E
- o 71 FF
- q (Quits to DOS)
worked like a charm on my Micron Gobook.
It's suppose to work on most mobos.
