NDiags is old [the last one I have is from NU8]. CheckIt is adequate.
The latest [and good] I saw is DiscoverPRO from Nuts&Bolts package
when in advanced mode, but it is a Win9x app.

And increasingly often this is a software/firmware/drivers bug while
the hardware is working A-OK.
