Hello PCBuild,

  My friend has a problem with his CD-ROM - it reads CDs very bad,
almost no disk can be read without error, some won't run, etc. I think
either a hardware problem or a dirty drive. Please advise what can he
do to fix the situation, short of ripping the drive out and coughing
the money for a new one.
