Try to avoid getting drilled-out-bits inside, as they can cause damage.

I second that motion.  Toner particles are just the right size to lodge in
the lungs and may contain compounds that are on the FDA's list of "the
usual suspects".

I suggest doing it outside on the driveway (assuming you won't mind a black
spot on the driveway) or lawn.  With the vacuum cleaner downwind, that
avoids the problem of fine particles going through the bag (preferably a
disposable one you can get rid of after you are done).  You could also use
an old laundry bag and a couple of rubber bands as a disposable "glove
box" to contain the mess.
