In response to theitem about God and epoxy and a question as to what would
be used glue in a dutchman, Derek responded:

>Friction. And, if we are lucky a few electrons will bounce across the
boundary between the original block and the dutchman.<

Fascinating concept. But if I were walking along a building with lots of
little chunks of stone stuffed into cavities and held by friction, I'd be
far more at ease if I were sure the electrons at the interface were being
shared with sufficient tenacity to assure development of divine bond
strengths exceeding a tested and certified minimum. Several hundred psi
direct tensile bond should be achievable with sound substrates and a decent
epoxy.
