Good Morning List Members:

Can anyone help me? I am using the Ruby edition of Open Book with an HP
scanner with document feeder.

When I attempt to revert from using the ADF back to the scanner glass, I get
a "failed scan" message and an ultimate hang-up of the computer. However, I
experience no problems moving from the glass to the document feeder. I am
not sure if this is an Open Book problem or a scanner software problem or a
computer problem.

If anyone has any ideas or has experienced this problem themselves, and
would like to write to me off-list, I would be extremely appreciative. If
any answers could be given in simple layman terms, I would be additionally
appreciative as I am quite a novice at this game.

It would also be helpful to know if anyone having the same set-up has not
had this kind of problem, as this would tend to indicate that I have a
problem.

With many thanks,

Doreen Yale
