The print output from my venerable Desk Jet 500 was getting
faint, so I bought two cartridges. When I removed the old
cartridge, I could see it was abut half full of ink.
Thinking maybe it was clogged, I tried to wipe off the head
with alcohol and a q-tip. I removed a lot of dried-up ink
from the print head. That did not help at all.
Is there any way I can salvage cartridges like this one?
Dammed things cost $25 each. I almost coulda gotten a new
printer instead of buying two cartridges. But I'm
sentimentally attached to this one, I suppose.
What say you?
