Eleven years ago this September I was diagnosed with CD after the birth of
my first child. My, my, have things changed! Shall we have a round of
reminiscing?

Remember when:

GF mixes weren't available and recipes tasted like they had been put
together in a gritty Kansas windstorm ?

even the dieticians didn't know what a GF diet really meant?

an annual check up meant biopsy instead of blood test?

every one shared strangely concocted recipes and pretended they tasted
"just like" regular food?

pasta melted in the pan instead of in your mouth?

we had no one to trust but a quarterly newsletter?

 manufacturers didn't ever listen?

So far, only one of my three children has been diagnosed with CD. She is
growing up in an entirely different world, most likely one where her diet
will be accomodated rather than mocked. I am very grateful for the
determination, stubborness, and gumption that those on this list and many,
many others have shown for the last decade. Your efforts have resulted in
great gains, and great food, for the next generation. Thank you.
