Hi, Listmates! Just wanted to turn in a tip on something I discovered
that is probably OK for those who are lactose intolerant. I have lots of
problems with lactose, but Lifeway Kefir I can definitely handle. I found
out that it is more tolerated than yogurt, and is loaded with probiotics
(the friendly bacteria we want in our GI tract!) I bought the plain,
lowfat, and have been guzzeling it down in large amounts every day for
the past two weeks.

I e-mailed the company at [log in to unmask] and asked whether it was
gluten-free. They answered promptly with a "Yes", it is gluten-free, in
fact so is the flavored kefir. Their website is www.lifeway.net.

I have absolutely no financial interest in this company. I just want some
of you who struggle with lactose problems to know about something that is
very digestible.

Best of health! Christie in TX
