Recent conversations with some other celiacs have alerted me to the
possibility that many people may not be aware that, at least in the U.S.,
the glue on stamps and envelopes is likely to contain oat gum and,
therefore, gluten. The U.S. Post Office sells no-lick stamps on a
peel-off backing at no extra charge.

Parents of gluten-sensitive children need to be alert to the possibility
that the art materials they use at school and elsewhere may contain
gluten that can get into their mouths either directly or from their
hands. Sticker books, play dough, and macaroni art projects are
potentially dangerous.
