Can you tell me what is the CDROM mode number? the most moden IDE CD drives I
know of have no problom with win98 cd driver, the only real exemption is
Notebook CD drive.
You can change BIOS setting to auto detect harddisk and other IDE devices, this
way, the ATAPI CD drive will be sure detected by the windows boot disk. If you
don't know how to get into BIOS, try hit "Del" key while booting, depending on
different BIOS, the key may be vary, the most used keys are: "Del",
"Ctrl-Alt-Esc", "Ctrl-Alt-S", sometimes "F1" or "F2".
If the above doesn't work, please tell me the mode number of CD drive, so that I
can add it to my list.
