For immediate release:

Darrell Paulsen, will be doing a walk-through tour of two local companies
on April 18, 2000


Darrell Paulsen, candidate for South St. Paul city council, will be doing a
walk-through tour of two local companies on April 18, 2000.  At 9 a.m., he
will visit Dakota Premium Foods, located at 425 So. Concord St.  Dakota
Premium Foods employs 250 people and prides itself on a diverse workforce.
The company has received the Human Rights Commission Award for its hiring
and employment practices. They are looking forward to working with Paulsen
in his efforts to promote the economic revitalization of the Concord Street
area.

Paulsen will also visit CLT Floor Coverings (220 Hardman Ave) at 10:30 a.m.
CLT employs approximately 60 people, including installers.  They provide
vinyl floor coverings and Abbey carpet to a variety of customers, including
commercial, residential and construction contractors.  They pride
themselves on finding the perfect floor covering for any need.

Paulsen believes that the economic viability of South St. Paul and its
citizens depends on attracting solid businesses to the area, and especially
promoting the Bridgepoint Business Park as a great place for new and
existing businesses to locate.  He will work to improve the economic
partnership between the city, its residents, and business.
