yes, i agree that something needs to be done to encourage adoption of older
children and especially the special needs children. educate people to both
the hardship and the rewards and you'd have some (not everybody) that would
step up and say the rewards outweigh the hardships. you know i should speak
to randy and gloria, they might just need to have it pointed out to them.
they do strick me as one of the posibilities for a special needs child.
thanks for reminding me of this.

and keeping in mind one of trisha's post, there are lots of kids with
families that are in need of more love than they are getting. seems like
there is so much going on to distract us from our children. i may never get
to the top of the latter, but, my children know who their dad is and that i
spend time with them. to a child time=love more than things=love.

Actually, there are lots of wonderful children waiting to be adopted. The
problem is they are children and not babies anymore. Here in Florida there
is a waiting list for special needs children a mile long. Not too many
takers though. If you have friends wanting to adopt, send them to Florida.
Still takes up to a year to finalize but, there are lots of children in need
of love.

well, mag, if more babys were adopted instead of aborted then it goes with
out saying, that the abortion clinics would not make as much money. an yes,
there are people out there wanting to adopt lots of the babies if they were
carried to term and the damned governments would not make it so hard to
adopt. i have a friend that went to russia and adopted two kids and i have a
friend that is in china now to adopt because it is just so hard to do here.
i have another friend who has adopted 3 kids here and paid a fortune in
legal fees and an eternaty in time doing it and another friend who has been
waiting for years to get a kid. need i continue? none of these would make a
payment to the abortion clinics. more adoption = less abortion = less money.
