EASI (EQual Access to Software and Information) wants to extend hearty
congratulations to Larry for his years of untiring work on behalf of people
with all kinds of disabilities, and we are proud that he has received this
official recognition:

The American Foundation for the Blind has announced the recipients of its
2002 Migel Medal, the highest honor in the blindness field.

the Volunteer Award was given to Dr. Lawrence Scadden, retired senior
program director of the Program for Persons with Disabilities of the
National Science Foundation. While Dr. Robert Winn, retired president of
The Hadley School for the Blind, was given the Professional Award,
