yes it is too bad that i can't express myself fully with english.
i don't try to disagree , i just fondamentaly do , if i undestand you
correctly.
what you seem to see as solutions ( genetic engineering ., unlimited budget
etc..) are for me a step farther in the spinning out from our center . i
don't see it as solutions at all but as the problem, in, the 1st place.

it seems to me that it is precisely our sudden ability to produce more foods
and to store it that created overpopulation so how come, increasing our
ability to "improve" upon the natural equilibrium can respond to that?
And it is not my intention of forcing anybody, because i am totally
confident in the ability of natural regulations sytems to take care of
themselves. i just want to say that the ability of that equilibrium to
reestablish itself could happen without much suffering and going into
crises situations.
I have been myself " forced" to reconsider my relation with food , it was
this or i will not have lived long.
>As wonderful as paleo eating may be, it is not a practical solution to the

as
>yours in which any intervention into the natural order of things should be
>avoided.

Most of the food shortage idea is just a myth it is mostly a problem of
repartition of ressources and there we end up again at my 1st argument
technology as a solution is not accessible to everybody, it is sold at a
high price and cost to peoples who advertised abandon their sustaining life
style .they become dependant on corporations to just be able to survive.
the best ex. is the seed situation in the world , few years ago india had
6000 differentes varieties of rice each one adapted to local conditions all
openpollinated seeds , the big americans companies are dreaming of
replacing those ones by few hybrids ( with "improved" yields) that the
farmer willnot be able to reproduce. Which farmer in the world can
genetically engineereing his seeds.?

nothing new under the sun! We allready created monster vegetables and fruits
which are way less nourishing than the wilder counterparts. because food is
mostly constitued of water, i have yet to see a more nutrients rich food
who is affected by oedema.

And when you know how farming salmons is affecting the wild population you
wonder where is the benefit.

it is very sad that you buy into that . because you are concerned by prices
, you could investe your money in more efficient way.
that is bad economy.

by the way i am not a antibiotech activist but an active biotech desactivist
, i just want to make sure that the messages spread by MOnsanto and company
are not the only one to reach your ears. too bad that i can't buy pages of
advertisements in magasines .

>Realistically, in terms of global economics, your idealized 100% pure
>paleo-diet is for the rich only.

exactly , rich from the inside not because i got more power over nature ,
not because i increased my buying power.

i have seen in India very valuable paleo foods like the nuts of "the jewel
box )tree wasted on the ground , in an aera very much touched by
desertification and poverty.( i had a feast)
It is not so simple to help people to see diferently, they prefer their
rice and their curry. I have seen tons of coconuts ( a paleo wonder)
exported in the form of oil to supply the occidental soap and shampoo
industry, by malnourished.peoples.
