I think this is more likely attitudes molded from a
urban society and not intrinsic female leanings.
There are/were HG groups in which the women regularly
hunted.  I doubt they had any qualms or pity or
sympathy.  I have stalked my dinner, looked it
in the eyes, and killed it.  I have no more difficulty
with this action than a female leopard does.
