The graph was one I found that compared two gentlemen, one who went on a LC
diet and one who did Ornish's HC/LF diet. The results were what we usually see:
LC equalled higher HDL lower LDL and triglycerides. Using the Ornish diet, had
a greater loss of total cholesterol (-24% compared to -13%) but, a 3% DECREASE
in HDL and a 75 INCREASE in triglycerides. Using the Atkins diet, the gentleman
had a 60% INCREASE in HDL and a 62% DECREASE in triglycerides.
These numbers mirror my experience an generally that of my patients
