Ivory Coast president meets ousted military ruler
YAMOUSSOUKRO, Nov 13 (AFP) - Ivory Coast's new president Laurent Gbagbo
was
Monday afternoon in a meeting with ousted military ruler General Robert Guei
in the capital Yamoussoukro, presidential press advisor Freedom Neruda said.
Neruda gave no further details on the meeting, but told journalists that
a
statement would be issued later.
Guei has been in hiding since he was ousted in a popular uprising on
October 25 after he tried to grab victory in a presidential election when it
became clear Gbagbo was winning.
