Gambian organizations, whether at home or in the diaspora have always
demonstrated not an admirable track record. Gambian communities in Swden,
Denmark, Norway and wasdhington DC always echoe the need for a relevant
organization within their community. Most of these Organization's demise, or
irrelevancy are caused by infighting, financial misappropriations of funds,
big egos, individual indifference to collective needs, and total mistrust
from the community at large.
"Knock on wood as the saying goes" a Gambian Reunion Organization base in
Atlanta is paving the way to new heights. The Fourth of July Reunion of 1998
in Atlanta is still the talk in most Gambian communities in the US, and the
Fourth of July 1999 is already position to surpass its success
Musa Jeng.
Visit their new websit www.atlGambians.com. Please contact the organizers,
and we will help you be part of July Fourth 1999 Gambian Reunion.
