Thanks Beth -- I think plans are in place to help us in the best way
possible.

Today was fine, except that I had a bit of a fight keeping Mom in the
hospital over the weekend (or at least until Sunday). That's a long boring
story, but in spite of my complaints I am reminded of the good people who
have been involved in Mom's care.

Hospice is bringing in a hospital bed, bedside commode, hospital table, and a
wheelchair for her. Those things will come Sunday and Hospice will meet with
us on Monday afternoon.

I'm glad for Mom because she will be at home and I will be with her almost
all the time. She is so afraid of having to leave her home and dying in a
strange place, but tonight she talked with me about the reality of the
situation and how we have to talk about business issues such as estate
planning. She doesn't have a lot of time to go through Kubler-Ross' stages,
and she is trying to act responsibly about this.

Next week she might yell at me in frustration. I know things like that will
happen. I'll just have to ride it out. I think I'd be inclined to want to
yell myself in her situation. I'm a grown woman and I'm hoping that I've
been around the block enough times to be able to place the anger I'm sure
will surface in its proper perspective.
