That was the Charles Dickens classic, "A Christmas Carol" Mag. Its
villian was Ebenezer Scrooge, but through the intervention of 4 Ghosts,
Scrooge has a change of heart, and Tiny Tim becomes an instrument in
that change.  Maybe you've seen a modern portrayal of the story... Bill
Murray in "Scrooged"...
