i believe modeling is part of displine. displine means training. the
physical punishment will not work without the modeling. i think that is
where many fall short. the "do as i say not as i do" is not a valid displine
method.

My wife and I just finished watching a videotape from PBS called "The
Children are Watching" about how parents unknowingly model behavior, good
and
bad, for their children. Modeling is much more important than discipline
because it takes place all the time and this is what the children are
watching.
