What a pleasant surprise, in the neighborhood supermarket!

>From Franklin Farms, the mushroom people, in PA and likely available
throughout the Northeast.

Two kinds: Portabella and Veggie. Both made with soy protein and held
together with egg whites, not gluten. The only difference between the two
in ingredients seems to the order of mushrooms and vegetables on the
ingredient list and that there's more soy in the Portabella. I've only
tasted the Portabella so far, but find the taste and texture close to that
of the Boca Burger.

These were out in the produce section in the mushroom area along with
their boxed mushrooms. There's an expiration date, but it says "use or
freeze by".

They do know what gluten is and have checked out questionable ingredients.
Oh, I forgot to ask about "cultured dextrose", but it's near the bottom of
the list and I can't get very excited about some culture medium residual
in that position( given the Finnish results with wheat starch that I
recently reported.)
