When i got sick 18 years ago i went to see an homeopath, after 10 mn being
with hime he told you have milssfunctionning adrenal glands ,if my
diagnostic is right i can't do anything for you, you will have to take
cortisone.
This happened before my 2nd hospitalisation.
At the 1st one the hospital staff diagnosed me with appendicitis and went to
the surgery service to wait for a crisis. The crisis never came so after 3
weeks they let me go. Months later while in an addison crises ( that can be
fatal quickly) in the emergency room the " unexperienced" internist that i
saw diagnosed me privately correctly but she must have not been taken
seriously by the experienced old professor because i didn't heard one word
anymore about addison. after 3 weeks , again unable to diagnose me they left
me go 8 days later i was back in an other crises. there they did the tests
and found out .
I got twice the message that i had addison but because i was in such
vegetative state i gave completly my power away to the doctors and didn't
ask them to check that possibility.
I think this hate love relationship with medical authority figures reflect
both our unwillingness to be responsible ( i don't mean guilty here) for our
own state of health and our resentments toward the personns to who we give
this responsability and our power.
This kind of relationship between the patient and the doctor is maintained
and nourish by the 2 parties. The doctor can't stand (get scared) when the
patient want to be in charge , and the patient get scared too when the
doctor is ready to admit that he doesn't have all the answers.
I am dealing with this issue for so many years but i am still unable to
developp an healthy relationship with the doctors. i am still split between
thinking
1--that doctors are as lost as everybody else , and get angry at them when
they tried to prove to the world that they are not ( the tittles , the
credentials ,the "scientific studies" , the amount of informations they can
gather....)
2-- that doctors have the power to save me ( by giving me cortisone.)
Now in my life, doctors are just good for me to do the paperwork and
prescribibg the hormones that i need, i just can't manage to get from them
more than that.
In fact i have hard time with any health professions that make dollar out of
the misery of our state of health.
there is a strong correlation between the number of hospitals and health
professionals per inhabitants,
and the numbers of sick peoples.
The americans must have the most of those than any country and they are the
sickest.
I hope this correlation stem more from the fact that peoples are not
diagnosed ( ignorance is bliss, happy them )in countries with poor health
care , than the medical profesion having a direct effect on agravating the
state of health of peoples.( drug poisonning?)
My take on it :don't expect that much from "healers" so you don't have to
make them wrong for trying to exorcise their fear of disease and death.
If doctors didn't have sick and dying people around them ,they will create
them.!

it seems to me they do invente more and more diseases!
