Well, it's been 4 months since Briana's hamstring transfers by Dr. Nuzzo, and
the operation was a success.

Today is Briana's last day in day hospital (a children's hospital where she
has been going 5 days/week for therapy, and having tutoring at home) and she
will restart school on Monday WALKING into her classroom with her walker. If
you recall, prior to this surgery, Briana was totally in her power chair,
now, she is able to bear her own weight, and use a walker. At this point,
she is not able to use the walker for very long distances, probably about 35
feet or so, then she tires out, but, according to Dr. Nuzzo, right now all
she needs is practice and she'll keep getting better.

Just wanted to update everyone.

Elaine
