If anyone is interested, I know a researcher at Penn
State who did work on:

Effects of a Weight Management Program That Included a
Unique Dietary Supplement
in Moderately Obese Men and Women.

Part of this is the Abstract.  The study was sponsored
by the NIH and the researcher was  Kirwin.  If I can
find more detail, I'll post it.

It was completed in 1998 and the
*unique* thing was Ketogenic.
