I'm not advocating supplementation. If supplements are required, then the
diet's deficient.
The production of healthy bones requires adequate amounts of calcium and
vitamin D (in addition to exercise) and relatively low levels of acidic
elements (of which meat is a major contributor). The production of healthy
nerve cells requires adequate EFAs, especially omega-3. Philip's diet does
not meet these requirements. The foods that do, fish and leaves, are
entirely absent.
