So you have to soak nuts overnight before you eat them?
>But then, are those enzymes on the surface only? If not, how does the

i rehydrate my nuts in the shell but it takes more than 24 hours of soaking
in water. The kernel doesnt have the time to get the water. Nuts are
semiwaterproof for a reason they let the water come in but not too much (or
they will rot) so they can wait the right season to sprout.
i let mines in the rain ( that is abundant here in the winter) for days
before eating them ( they are stored dry and put them outside to have a
constant supply )
in a climate without rain i will store them in humid sand or peat moss
,because soaked in the water they get the chance of roting and the leaching
from the shell give a bad taste to the nut ( walnut)
i encourage anyone to eat rehydrated nuts they taste alive and are way more
easy to digest.
