The issue here is not the genetic engineering as far as I am concerned, but
what the salmon are fed. We rely on salmon for the healthy essential fatty
acids they contain, and farm raised salmon contain almost none. I don't see
how fish could be genetically engineered and be grown and caught in the wild.
I am getting very distressed by the fact that some of the salmon I see in
stores is not labled as to its origin, forcing me to pay a higher price for
fish from a fish market that is clearly marked as to whether it is wild or
farm raised.
