Thanks, you're right that it's present but in insignificant amounts. I
checked the USDA database and found the amount is less than a gram per cup
(about .9 grams). Decaf coffee also contains less than a gram per cup of
protein.  It also contains other things in insignificant amounts, including
caffeine. A cup of "decaffeinated" coffee contains 2.37 mg of caffeine.
