I remembered one of my friends' hubby is a forager, I called him up and he
came right over. He said i do have puffballs in my backyard and he showed
me how to prepare them. They were very good and i cant wait to pick some
more. He also brought over some spores of the larger loaf size puffballs.
I hope they take in my yard. And yes, it is crazy to eat wild mushrooms
without knowing. That's why i posted the question here, on my edible wilds
list and I called a friend. =o]

Subject: Re: [P-F] Wild Mushrooms -- Crazy

If my opinion, it is suicidal to eat wild mushrooms without ABSOLUTELY
KNOWING what type they are. Every year I read about someone who poisons
themselves and their family shrooming. Many times these people need liver
transplants if they survive.
