fyi, just called kraft/nabisco about some ingredients in a particular product listing "natural flavors" as an ingredient: they told me that their company policy is to specifically list all of the "major allergens" (e.g., milk, soy, wheat, egg, peanut, nut) that's in any product in any way ¯ so, for ex, if dairy is part of the "natural flavors", they'll list the dairy ingredient parenthetically () after the words "natural flavors" on the ingredient label.
if a non-dairy food's processed on the same production line as a dairy food, they'll mark it "D" or "KD" and they don't use the "DE" marking much if at all.
