Hey, that's a good idea! Actually, why not talk to the DDD casemanager and
tell them you've located a great service (hippotherapy) and ask if your child
can receive this service thru their program? Or perhaps bring it up at a
planning meeting. I'd suggest doing some homework first...talk to the program
themselves and get their recommendations, for example how often an individual
usually attends (2 x a week, monthly). Ask about scholarships... is
transporatation provided...Then approach the casemanager and ask if a script
from your orthopedic doc will assist them in justification of the service esp
since DDD is not paying for PT (the school is providing it). Usually these
theraputic horseback programs are run by a PT or have a PT closely involved.
