Denise, when I was younger, I had the same thing.  I was just like Justin, where
the brace worked for awhile.  But as soon as it came off, my hand would closed up
again.  As I got older [I'm 29 years old now], my hand loosened up.  My hand is
still at times tight, but it mainly it's lose enough to open.  I hope this helps.
