Kyle's correct, we drank to get drunk and to forget. Now if you ask what Iwas
trying to forget, I will answer in Dean Martin's fashion, I don't know I've
forgotten, already. Basically, if you read the literature on disability and
substance, the
predisposing factors are: pain, lowered social status, easier access to
psychoactive meds, and surrounded by people with unhealthy enabling
attitudes, such as, "If I were in his/her shoes, I would drink or drug too."
