And if your aim is true, you could probably keep 7 or 8 cats and not notice
the smell.

PS- I do want to specify that in my original post I did say read the
Preservation Brief and *bibliography*. The bibliography includes several
volumes which (although I don't know for sure since I don't have 'em here at
the office) I imagine would point you in the right direction in terms of
empirical data. For example _Moisture Conditions in Walls and Ceilings of a
Simulated Older Home in Winter_ Madison Wisconsin: Forest Products
Laboratory- USDA, 1977 sounds promising.
