That's true for some people but, then their are people who don't have that
choice or don't have the support needed in other areas and so, full
mainstreaming may not be the best choice for them.

What do you mean by the extent of the disability?  I think it's up to the
person and how determine they are.  Focusing on your disability and making
excuses for yourself is a bunch of crap.  If they are looking for a
handout, don't come knocking on my door.  I don't need negative vive.
